A nonprofit corporation that operates in 44 states and Puerto Rico as a job training and employment program for older and/or disabled Americans and is sponsored by the National Farmers Union, a national farm organization dedicated to preserving the family farm. Senior Community Service Employment Program (Title V)

This program is available to persons 55 years of age or older who meet income guidelines. Enrollees are placed in subsidized employment in a variety of community service agencies. This program is operated in conjunction with the Genesee County Office for the Aging. The unsubsidized employment is based on a six month rotation table. Work Force Investment Act (JTPA)

For persons 55 years of age or older, who qualify, JTPA will provide on-the-job training, classroom training, resume writing, job search assistance, job development and pre-employment skills training.  For more information, contact the Genesee County Job Development at (585) 344-2042.
